（一） Different people have different ambitions. When children study at school, they already have their own ideals. Stone want to be engineers or doctors in the future. Others want to be artists or businessmen. Still others want to be teachers or lawyers. But few want to be farmers.

Unlike most people, I choose to be a farmer in the future and make contributions to development of agriculture. Agriculture is essential to the national economy and the people's livelihood. Without it there won't be grains on which people survive. Nevertheless, farmers are ignored, even looked down upon by urban people. I determine to challenge the traditional idea and contribute to changing this situation.

However, lt is not easy to he a modern farmer in the 21st century. A modern farmer must be equipped with a variety of knowledge such as chemlstry, biology and meteorology. Therefore, I must study conscientiously from now on so that I can get the chance to study as a postgraduate in an agricultural university.

I believe only a man with scientific knowledge can meet the challenge of the 21st century and assume the task of modernizing agriculture.

Every person has his own ideal job. Some people wish to be doctors, while others want to be teachers and so on.

As far as I am concerned, I have been dreaming of being a guide for a long time. First, my major is the manage of tourism, so I want to get a job about tourism. Secondly, good guides are knowledgeable and amiable, meanwhile, they have wide vision. Finally, guide can constantly expand his knowledge and understand lots of customs about different cultures and countries.

To achieve my dream of being a qualified guide, I have to make sufficient preparations. Fro one thing, I must learn my specialty well and travel at my spare time, just as the saying goes: “Seeing is believing.” For another, I should enhance my eloquence so that I can express the allusion about the view clearly. What’s more important ,I should control my mood freely and treat every traveler kindly.

Being a good guide is difficult, but I believe if I endeavor to do this things in all hands. I’ll be successful sooner or later.

My ideal job is a job which has the link with English, because my profession is english. I wish I would listen to,speak,read,and write english very well. we all know that english can be used in all walks of lifes. So I can not describe my ideal job correctly. Maybe one day I will face to so many strange faces to speak english loudly, and they will praise me: " oh, It is totally different ! "

I just want to say what I should do now. I am lacking in knowledges and have no experience that is worth showing off. If I still do not want to study hard , I will be eliminated by the society. I need to charge and improve myself. Not only studying knowledges acquired from books, but also expanding the breadth of my knowledges. Unit 5 My ideal job

Everyone has his dream for his career in the future. He or she might want to be a teacher, a doctor , a scientist ,and so on. My ideal job is to be a lawyer. I have a good eye for detail , a sharp mind, an excellent memory and like taking responsibility as well. So I think I would make a good lawyer .I am planning to open a law firm by myself some day .But now, I must study hard to get myself qualified for my future job.

Unit 7 My Home

I am living on the 12th floor of a tower building with my wife and my son. It's a newly-built block of flats in the north of the city. We have three bedrooms,one big living-room,one kitchen and two bathrooms. The size is about 150 square meters. When we moved in three years ago, I painted the doors myself , but I had the windows frames painted .We are satisfied with the decorations except the cupboards in the kitchen .So I need to build again .The neighbourhood is nice too, I think my home is cozy and I like my home.

Unit 13 High School Life and College Life

High school life is quite different from college life. In high school ,the students have to wear school uniform.Teachers always ask students to do many tasks in the classroom. In college, students have to be responsible for themselves. They have more freedom in college than in high school.For example, they put on the casual clothes, instead of uniform,and they must spend more time studying by themselves in the library .Although I often recall my high school life, I like college life more.【My,idel,job】

Unit 14 My TV University Life

Our TV University is mainly engaged in long distance education. The form of study is convenient for the adult learners like me . I can learn my courses anywhere in my spare time by computer. There are many web-based courses on line. I not only join online discussion forums ,but also send our homework to the tutor. I solve the difficulties and puzzles in the tutorial once a week.I love my TV University life very much.

Unit 15 Life in A Big City

In the eyes of many people, city life is attractive with all its advantages and conveniences. People can buy almost kinds of things at supermarkets or shopping malls ,and dine out in good restaurants . If I had to describe my ideal job, I guess it would be that of a doctor.But I don’t want to work in a hospital,Dressed in a white uniform sit in the office or stand by the opration table. If possible,I want to open a private clinic in a small town where far away from large citys . No pollution,no traffic jam.Then I can help those patients who have a cold or a headache. If someone needs to do a opration,I think he had better go to a hospital. Running a private clinic has a great benefit.
