Then what is the most precious and everlasting thing in the world?

When you are far away from your family and feel especially lonely, who will you think of? When you stand on the crossroad in your life and don't know which way to choose, who will you think of? When you encounter greater difficulties than ever and need other's encouragement, who will you think of? When you decide to make the greatest decision in your favorite course, which shed cheerful tears when see you get achievements? Whose wholehearted blessing will be always with you no matter how far you will go?

Yes, its mother who you will always think of and it's mother's love that will be always be with you.

I once heard a moving story about a mother. Two children were drawn into the flood and the situation was very dangerous. Their mother jumped into the water without hesitation. But the mother couldn't swim at all. Jumping into the water means she might lose her life. But at that time she had no time to think about herself. She just wanted to try all means to save her children. Maybe her courage touched the God. The miracle happened. She finally succeeded in saving her both children. And she, of course, felt extremely exhausted.

My friends, mother’s love is the greatest love. Mother’s love is the safest love. No matter you are happy or depressed, rich or poor, mother’s love will always stay with you. 母 爱

I’d like to start with a group of pictures.

"Modern and advanced"? This society forgets, and ignores the other two thirds of human beings. It's far from the ideal! We call ideal as a utopian, a place where reality does not exist. A few people still look forward to the ideals. We make fun of them, considering they are naive. Will we still be content to live in such a society, if misfortune drops to us? No! Of cause not!

When we feel the warmth of the sun, these people, endure great sorrows and pains. Can we imagine that? They are our brother and sisters!

Facing them, will we still complain about our own misfortune?

Smoking is a greater cause of death and disability than any single disease, says the World Health Organisation.

According to their figures, it is responsible for approximately five million deaths worldwide every year.

Tobacco smoking is a known or probable cause of approximately 25 diseases, and even the WHO says that its impact on world health is not fully assessed.

Heart attack and stroke

UK studies show that smokers in their 30s and 40s are five times more likely to have a heart attack than non-smokers.

Tobacco contributes to the hardening of the arteries, which can then become blocked and starve the heart of bloodflow, causing the attack.

Often, smokers who develop this will require complex and risky heart bypass surgery.

If you smoke for a lifetime, there is a 50% chance that your eventual death will be smoking-related - half of all these deaths will be in middle age.

Smoking also increases the risk of having a stroke.

Lung problems

Another primary health risk associated with smoking are lung cancer, which kills more than 20,000 people in the UK every year.

US studies have shown that men who smoke increase their chances of dying from the disease by more than 22 times.

Women who smoke increase this risk by nearly 12 times.

Lung cancer is a difficult cancer to treat - long term survival rates are poor.

Smoking also increases the risk of oral, uterine, liver, kidney, bladder, stomach, and cervical cancers, and leukaemia.

Another health problem associated with tobacco is emphysema, which, when combined with chronic bronchitis, produces chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.

The lung damage which causes emphysema is irreversible, and makes it extremely difficult to breathe.

Harm to children

Smoking in pregnancy greatly increases the risk of miscarriage, is associated with lower birthweight babies, and inhibited child development.

Smoking by parents following the birth is linked to sudden infant death syndrome, or cot death, and higher rates of infant respiratory illness, such as bronchitis, colds, and pneumonia.

Nicotine, an ingredient of tobacco, is listed as an addictive substance by the US authorities.

Although the health risks of smoking are culmulative, giving up can yield health benefits regardless of the age of the patient, or the length of time they have been smoking.

Future impact

By 2020, the WHO expects the worldwide death toll to reach 10 million, causing 17.7% of all deaths in developed countries.

There are believed to be 1.1 billion smokers in the world, 800 million of them in developing countries.

So my mission is to find a more efficient way to separate the PM2.5 particles from the air in our room.My idea is designing a air filter with new filter material which called electret filter。The main feature of electret filter is its ability to remove particulate matter from polluted air by strong electrostatic forces generated by the electret fibres from which they are made. Another advantage of electret filter is it do not need external power supply .So if we add this filter to a air cleaner and set the machine on the window .When the air come in the room though the electret filters ,the PM2.5 can be eliminated efficiently. I was surprised ,when the old man fell down in the street,We are afraid to help him.I was disappointed ,when someone do good things were reported,many people think he was affectation, I was sad,when I saw many of young people become indifferent ,fraud and lack of ideal.

Are we sick, or is our dear motherland sick?

我很惊讶，当大街上有老人摔倒，我们不敢再去扶起；我很难过，当有人做了好事被报道，更多的人说他做作；我很伤心，当我看到我们众多的青年人变得冷漠、市侩、欺诈以及缺乏理想。

到底是我们病了，还是我们亲爱的祖国病了？

I don't want to talk about the construction of our country politics, and

also speak impassioned speech on the Diaoyu Island event .I just want to appeal young people,showing the side of youth,good and confidence.We must learn to organize our own thoughts, correct our own concept, and change our direction to the right side in future life. China dream actually lies in our young generation, especially of the intellectuals.

Perhaps the strength of a person is small, but when his or her fate is connected with the motherland, he or she will be hero or heroine. Perhaps a dream is tiny, but when it becomes the dream of a country, it becomes inestimable. Perhaps I cannot change our country by my own, but if thousands and thousands of young people struggle for the dream together, our motherland is enough to make the world shock.

也许，一个人，是渺小的；但是当他和祖国联系起来时，就是伟大的。也许，一个梦想，是渺小的，但是当它成为祖国的梦想时，就是不可估量的。也许，我无法用自己一个人的力量撬起整个中国，但是我们千千万万年轻人一起为祖国的梦想去奋斗时，我们的祖国就足以令世界颤抖、动容。

世界是我们的，未来是我们的

Someone said “we are reading the first verse of the first chapter of a book, whose pages are infinite”. I don‟t know who wrote these words, but I‟ve always liked them as a reminder that the future can be anything we want it to be. We are all in the position of the farmers. If we plant a good seed ,we reap a good harvest. If we plant nothing at all, we harvest nothing at all.

一些人说‚我们正在读一本无穷的书中的第一章的第一节。‛我不知道谁写了这些话，但是我一直很喜欢它，因为它提醒了我，我们能够创造我们想要的未来。

We are young. “How to spend the youth?” It is a meaningful

question. To answer it, first I have to ask “what do you understand by the word youth?” Youth is not a time of life, it‟s a state of mind. It‟s not a matter of rosy cheeks, red lips or supple knees. It‟s the matter of the will. It‟s the freshness of the deep spring of life.

May 11th, College of Information Engineering held a evening party on Mother’s day which aimed to teaching our college students to thank mother,we invited eight students’ mothers ,one of them said in her speech:“when my kid got ill when he was young,I didn’t dare to close my eyes during the night at all.”at that time,many people cried .

Thank you very much for offering me such a fantastic opportunity to be here. Today my topic is about choice and process. A research shows that a man has to make 73 choices one day. With so many choices one day, people easily get so confused and afraid of making wrong choice that they hesitate and finally miss the true part of life. In my opinion, the following part is of much more importance than the choice. There is no absolute right or wrong choice but wonderful or boring life, which the process makes the difference.

Life is a box of chocolate; you never know what you will get. Forrest Gump made no decision by and for himself. But he accomplished great success with his strong will in the process. The process is not the road itself but the attitudes and feelings ,the caution, courage and persistence we have as we encounter new experience and unexpected obstacles.

NO matter what the choice is, enjoy the process. In the process, your

potential will be inspired and new discoveries, improvement and progress will come to you. These are the most beautiful sceneries and only on the way can you see it. These make your life colorful.

There is no need and I don’t want to judge whether it is right or wrong for me to be here, but I congratulate to myself for I gain and enjoy this fantastic experience.
